Memorial Day weekend is a time to both honor and celebrate our fallen soldiers. It also marks the unofficial start of summer, and the beginning of fun-filled weekends. If you’re planning on celebrating this holiday in Denver this weekend, here are a few family-friendly events for you to enjoy.
Memorial Day Run & March – Challenge yourself to a friendly competition. There will be three routes to choose from, and a food donation truck will be featured at the end of the run for you to help feed homeless veterans.

Broomfield Plaza’s Family Fun Fest & Car Show – Everyone in your family will be able to celebrate at Bromfield’s Family Fun Fest. Enjoy games, train rides, face painting, and even a car show for the adults!

Time: 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Location: Broomfield Plaza
Commerce City’s Memorial Day Parade – Head over to Veterans Memorial Park to enjoy the state’s largest Memorial day parade. The parade includes bands, floats, antique cars, and horses. The parade will be held rain or shine.

Memorial Day Berkeley Picnic – Bring a blanket, sunscreen, and your closest friends and family, and relax on the green in front of the Historic Elitch Theatre. There will be live music, delicious food and drinks, and fun family activities for everyone!
