5 Morning Habits To Start Your Day Off Right

We’re all guilty of hitting that snooze button and dragging ourselves out of bed at the last minute. However, how you start your morning sets the tone for the rest of the day. So, you can either start your day feeling frazzled or you can begin to incorporate some good morning habits for a better day and overall healthier lifestyle.

Wake Up Early
The early bird gets the worm, or in other words, early risers reap many benefits.
โ€“ Youโ€™re able to go through your morning routine in a calm and leisurely manner, instead of feeling rushed.
โ€“ You have more time for introspection and getting yourself in the right frame of mind.
โ€“ You can get an early start on your goals, such as getting daily exercise in.

Play Music
Set some soothing ambiance. Ambient noise is proven to increase creativity and productivity. However, donโ€™t turn it on too loud, you donโ€™t want to end up waking up everyone else in your house.

Stretch It Out
This routine shouldnโ€™t only be done before or after a workout. Stretching when you wake up in the morning will help loosen your muscles, increase blood flow, and lower your stress levels. Take ten minutes to do a few yoga poses and become connected with your mind, body, and breath in preparation for your busy day.

Eat a Healthy Breakfast
Breakfast is known as the most important meal of the day. Eating breakfast is proven to improve your concentration, give you energy, help with weight loss, and boost your metabolism. So start your day off with a healthy (and tooth-friendly) meal, and you will get the drive you need for your day ahead.

Brush Your Teeth
Most people think they should brush their teeth after having breakfast. However, itโ€™s healthier toย brush your teethย as soon as you wake up. Plaque, a film of bacteria, builds in your mouth while you sleep. In addition to brushing and flossing your teeth, you should also scrape your tongue. This process helps with fresh breath, boosts your immunity, and provides healthier gums.

Best ortho of all times. Seriously! I went to 3 others who told me all sorts of weird stuff and he had no problem moving my wisdom teeth over to missing teeth spots which saved me like 3 implants in the long term. Super sweet office and knowledgeable doc! I am going to miss them!
Response from the owner:Thank you for your wonderful feedback! We're thrilled to hear that our approach helped you avoid implants and that you enjoyed our office atmosphere. Weโ€™ll miss you too and wish you all the best!

I visited Speaks Orthodontics to straighten my teeth before my upcoming wedding. I was originally quoted 18 months for treatment, I finished in just 12. The practice is clean, the techs are professional and kind, and Dr. Speaks is very talented. I appreciate that he is direct but remains supportive and encouraging. Highly recommend this practice!
Response from the owner:Thank you, Lauren! We're thrilled to hear about your positive experience and the results achieved ahead of your wedding. Our team strives to provide excellent care, and your recommendation means so much to us!

Dr. Speaks and team have been so wonderful throughout the process of my Spark Aligners! They are incredibly consistent and compassionate. The staff has always been so welcoming and kind - always taking the time to answer any questions I have and making each appointment feeling personable and not rushed. I'm so grateful for the team and smile with confidence these days.
Response from the owner:Thank you, Annie! Your kind words about our team's consistency and compassion truly inspire us. We're thrilled to hear you're confident in your smile. We look forward to seeing you at your next appointment!

I went in for a free consultation for jaw pain. Dr. Speaks was incredibly thorough and spent time patiently explaining what he was seeing and teaching me how to treat it. Turns out I do not need orthodontia! The front desk staff were very nice and Dalia, who is the treatment coordinator, was also very kind. 10/10 from me!

Oh, and my grandson is being treated by Dr. Speaks and he and his parents are very happy so far.
Response from the owner:Thank you for your wonderful feedback, Leila! Weโ€™re thrilled to hear about your positive experience with Dr. Speaks and our team. It's great to know your grandson is also receiving excellent care. We appreciate your trust in us!
Ryan B.

Response from the owner:Thank you, Ryan! We're thrilled to hear that you had a positive experience with our team and that the aligners made such a difference. Your satisfaction is our priority, and we appreciate your kind words!

Benefits of Waking Up Early

Waking up early allows you to start your day with a sense of calm and control. You can take your time with your morning routine, rather than rushing through it. This can help reduce stress levels and set a positive tone for the rest of your day. Additionally, early risers often report feeling more productive and focused throughout the day, as they have already accomplished tasks before others even wake up.

Furthermore, waking up early gives you the opportunity to enjoy some quiet time for yourself. Whether you use this time for meditation, exercise, or simply sipping a cup of coffee in peace, starting your day with some self-care can have a positive impact on your overall well-being. So, set your alarm a bit earlier tomorrow and see how it can transform your mornings.

The Importance of Eating Breakfast

Breakfast is often referred to as the most important meal of the day, and for good reason. Eating a nutritious breakfast can provide you with the energy and nutrients you need to kickstart your day. It can also help improve your concentration and focus, making you more productive throughout the morning. Additionally, breakfast can help regulate your metabolism and prevent overeating later in the day.

When it comes to oral health, it's important to brush your teeth before eating breakfast to remove bacteria that has built up overnight. This simple habit can help maintain fresh breath, healthy gums, and overall oral hygiene. So, make sure to prioritize both breakfast and oral care in your morning routine for a healthy start to your day.
