Signs You Need Braces

Most people need braces, and some people just want them for a more attractive
smile. Hereโ€™s what to watch out for if you are someone that might
need them!

Problems with Chewing or Biting Your Food

Have you ever made yourself a nice lunch or dinner only to find that chewing
your food is becoming more difficult? You may find it easier to eat soup
than a nice, juicy steak or even a burger. If chewing your food is becoming
more problematic, you may need braces. You can work with an orthodontist
to put in braces that will repair your teeth.

Crowded or Misplaced Teeth

Have you ever looked in the mirror and saw that your teeth are rather crowded
or some teeth are smashing into others? You may even have extra teeth
in your mouth that make your smile look crowded.

If you have misplaced teeth or you are very unhappy with your smile when
you look into that mirror, you may need to get braces to repair your smile.
Our orthodontists can even get you light-colored braces that will fix
your teeth while ensuring your new smile is attractive during the process.

Your Jaw Has an Overbite, Shifts, or Makes Noise

If you have found that you have an overbite or your jaw actually shifts
and makes sounds, you could benefit from getting braces. Otherwise, these
issues may only become more severe over time.

Your teeth may even be shaped in such a way that you end up accidentally
biting your cheek or hurting the roof of your mouth on a regular basis.
With braces, these problems can be fixed. You will no longer have a jaw
that makes sounds and youโ€™ll be less likely to bite your cheek accidentally.

Getting your teeth diagnosed earlier rather than later can be beneficial
for your long-term dental health. If you think your children may need
braces, they can usually be evaluated at around age 10 to 13 after their
baby teeth have fallen out.

We can help you ensure your smile is amazing and your teeth no longer cause
problems when chewing.

I visited Speaks Orthodontics to straighten my teeth before my upcoming wedding. I was originally quoted 18 months for treatment, I finished in just 12. The practice is clean, the techs are professional and kind, and Dr. Speaks is very talented. I appreciate that he is direct but remains supportive and encouraging. Highly recommend this practice!
Response from the owner:Thank you, Lauren! We're thrilled to hear about your positive experience and the results achieved ahead of your wedding. Our team strives to provide excellent care, and your recommendation means so much to us!

Dr. Speaks and team have been so wonderful throughout the process of my Spark Aligners! They are incredibly consistent and compassionate. The staff has always been so welcoming and kind - always taking the time to answer any questions I have and making each appointment feeling personable and not rushed. I'm so grateful for the team and smile with confidence these days.

I went in for a free consultation for jaw pain. Dr. Speaks was incredibly thorough and spent time patiently explaining what he was seeing and teaching me how to treat it. Turns out I do not need orthodontia! The front desk staff were very nice and Dalia, who is the treatment coordinator, was also very kind. 10/10 from me!

Oh, and my grandson is being treated by Dr. Speaks and he and his parents are very happy so far.
Response from the owner:Thank you for your wonderful feedback, Leila! Weโ€™re thrilled to hear about your positive experience with Dr. Speaks and our team. It's great to know your grandson is also receiving excellent care. We appreciate your trust in us!

Benefits of Getting Braces

Getting braces can not only improve the appearance of your smile but also enhance your overall oral health. By straightening your teeth and correcting bite issues, braces can make it easier for you to chew and speak properly. This can lead to better digestion and improved self-confidence.

In addition, braces can help prevent future dental problems such as tooth decay, gum disease, and jaw pain. By aligning your teeth properly, braces can create a more harmonious bite, reducing the risk of wear and tear on your teeth and jaw joints. Overall, investing in braces can have long-term benefits for your oral health and well-being.

Choosing the Right Orthodontist for Your Braces

When considering getting braces, it is important to choose the right orthodontist who can provide you with the best treatment plan for your specific needs. Look for an orthodontist who has experience and expertise in orthodontic treatment, as well as a caring and friendly demeanor. It is also helpful to read reviews and ask for recommendations from friends or family members who have had braces.

During your initial consultation, make sure to ask questions about the treatment process, expected timeline, and cost of braces. A good orthodontist will take the time to explain your options and address any concerns you may have. By choosing the right orthodontist, you can ensure that your braces experience is smooth and successful.
